Often, when reflecting upon (configuration) choices we made, doubts arose and we sometimes felt the need to adapt. We don’t always have the opportunity or the time for such pivots.
I sent several different alternatives to my dealer just to change them again. Luckily, before they closed my slot and with the help of a good sales manager, I could celebrate my indecisiveness with one last set of changes–or was it two(?).
The most difficult decision I had to make was about the seats. After a less than pleasant level of comfort in a 14-way 911 seat at a local PZ, my decision seemed clear–it should be the sport bucket seats (LWBS is not available with heating–so they were not an option). After all, it was Andreas Preuninger’s clear recommendation to buy them („Take the seats!“ he told Carfection’s Henry Catchpole). How can this be ignored?
To be really sure, we searched all nearby Porsche Centers (PZs) to find a car with these fabulous seats. We were lucky, and found one in Wiesnbaden! Visually, the seats were a delight. But, when I got into the car, the enthusiasm did not last. The high sidewalls are a real wall that has to be overcome–but, with a skirt? Unfortunately, the seats are also not adjustable in height. For me, this posed irreconcilable differences. So, these wouldn‘t work either.
Let’s try the 18-way Adaptive Sport Seats Plus….
